Old-School RPG Dragon Fantasy: Book II Coming to PS3, Vita

Not too long ago, tiny developer Muteki Corporation created an old-school inspired RPG for PC and iOS called Dragon Fantasy. And its sequel, Dragon Fantasy: Book II, is coming to PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.

“With the support of SCEA’s Pub Fund,” which supports independent developers looking to bring their wares to PlayStation platforms, Muteki Corporation is toiling away on the 16-bit sequel to its original 8-bit throwback. So gamers who loved SNES RPGs have something to look forward to here.

The ins and outs of Dragon Fantasy: Book II can be found in a lengthy post on the PlayStation Blog. But let’s just say that with discussions surrounding Mode 7 and more, the old-school pedigree of Muteki Corporation is pretty well-established.

Dragon Age 3 details allegedly leaked in fan survey

An online survey leaked on the Bioware Social forums today purportedly contains details on the next installment in the Dragon Age franchise.

The survey reportedly sheds details on the game's plot, offering a synopsis that reads: "A portal between the worlds unleashes hords of demons in the land, civil wars rip apart nations and the corruption is limitless. Someone is behind the shadows, drawing the threads which destroy the world. Time has come for the Inquisition."

"Take the Inquisitor's cloak and lead the only force able of bringing light into the darkness. Choose the direct method and gather your armies, send spies into the shadows or engage in a political war, make friends and use your connections indirectly: it is up to you how you lead the inquisition. But you'll have to take lead of it from the beginning. Make your player a rogue, warrior or mage and set up your crew from up to ten (!) complex companions to lead them against those who attack you by systematically spying on, revealing and destroying them."

The purported survey also asked people about potential upcoming titles for the game, offering them the choice of the following: Dragon Age 3: The Breach, Dragon Age 3: Exarch, Dragon Age 3: Inquisition, Dragon Age 3: Inquisitor, and Dragon Age 3: Apocrypha.

They were also gauged on their interest in several different costume styles which can be viewed in a Neogaf thread here. Some of the details are backed up by what Bioware hinted at PAX East this year. However, again this is all just a rumor, and we do not know if any of this information is factual. It's definitely fun to think about though.

Report: Leaked Dragon Age 3 Questionnaire

Details from an unauthenticated survey for Dragon Age 3 have appeared online. The third part of the series has yet to be announced by series publisher Electronic Arts.

The survey (summarised on NeoGaf) apparently contains a summary of the game, asking readers to highlight the parts they liked or found appealing.

It evokes a world of chaos. The empire of Orlais is riven by civil war; the Chantry is divided; the Templar order has broken away; the Mage circles have rebelled. Some unseen force is manipulating events, bringing about disorder and destruction. Out of this confusion emerges The Inquisition.

If the survey is true, it seems that players will be cast as the leader of this group. One version of the alleged survey reads: "Make your player a rogue, warrior or mage and set up your crew from up to ten (!) complex companions to lead them against those who attack you by systematically spying on, revealing and destroying them."

Other questions hint at possible titles for the third installment, including Dragon Age 3: The Breach, Dragon Age 3: Inquisition, and Dragon Age 3: Apocrypha. It also contains concept art for potential companions in the game.
